We have created a short list of the nearby wineries which we have been to and enjoyed. There are more wineries in both states, but they are further away from Lone Star Cottage.

A: Here are some example driving times;

Providence Airport - 45 min.

Boston - 2 hours

NYC - 3 hours

Mystic, Newport and Foxwoods - about 30 min.

Here are some of the wineries in Rhode Island

Langworthy Farm Winery is just a short few miles from the house on 1A (Shore Road). They have wine tastings and a nice balcony where you can comfortable sit outside and view the grapes growing while you are served your wine tasting selections. They even have a variety named after Shady Harbor!
